Guzzi sightings .... Ohio and Virginia
« on: July 09, 2019, 09:34:37 PM »
I almost hate to spend a thread on it, but it's so darn rare and pleasant to see a Guzzi on the road that it's hard to resist seeing if it's anyone here.

A V85 and a V7 parked together on the grass near the "Keyhole" turn at Mid-Ohio racetrack on last Saturday afternoon, just as the storm was brewing up.   Never had seen a real V85 before!

And a white Norge today on US460 in Virginia between Appomattox and Lynchburg, only about 3 miles from my house.  That's rare!

I was on the Stelvio all weekend, so that's one more Guzzi on the road ...

Just got back from 8 days of riding south of the Smoky Mountains; saw zero Guzzis down there. However, we started this trip at the Lima half-mile; we saw a black 4-valve Norge and a Griso in the parking lot. Last month took a 2-week trip to northern Rockies; saw zero Guzzis the whole trip.

I probably saw 15 Guzzis at Mid Ohio on Friday and Sunday. All street bikes, not race or in the swap meet. Pretty cool to see. Didn't see any riders near them though, and unfortunately I didn't bring mine.

I was on my Stelvio too, and almost caught up with the V85 and V7 guys but we were all trying to get somewhere else as a storm approached so didn't get there in time ....

yea it was hot on Friday,Saturday we got wet on the way home ,I only live about an hour away so I ride every day,the show seems to get bigger by the year, the guy on the v85 just picked it up at the  Cincinnati dealer on Thursday he said , The Saturday before I went to the dealer and took a  demo ride on the new V 85 a very nice bike I believe Guzzi hit a home run with this one.
