Here for sure....  there is more or less a 60%+ chance of scattered showers forecast everyday from May-Sept...  We get more rain than Seattle by a fair margin..  Esp up on the parkway, it can be cool, misty & patchy drizzle even in the heat of summer

If I stayed home everytime my weather app showed clouds & raindrops, I would never get to ride!  Wednesday, forecast said 100% chance of rain showers.. when I got off work at 3:30 it had been blazing sunny & hot all day...  I went for a 2hr ride out the parkway, circled back and rode right by the BRMC campground, then back home thru Waynesville...  I got 5min of mist on the parkway and 5 min of steady rain as I was rolling back into AVL city limits...  If I had relied on the forecast I would have sat on the couch!

You are right about the rain in those mountains. I’m trying to build a house on the south fort of the New river in ash county nc and it’s 50-50% chance of rain most every day.

I was just watching the weather for severe storms, not the pop up showers that I have no problem riding through.

Hope everyone had fun... Lupe & i set out on the V65 but my home-baked fuel system with the little pulse fuel pump started spraying gas from under the tank as we quickly turned around and booked it home....  Tense ride with your pant leg soaked in gasoline coming back into town with folks tossing cig butts at every light and smoke coming off the headers
