I was wearing a Nolan N104 Evo modular helmet, Olympia gloves, Tourmaster Solution boots and a Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket with D30 armor in the shoulders, back and elbows. The paramedics said it looked like I went over the front of the bike and my helmet hit the side of the van first with the rest of my body right behind.
The dealer is going to pick the bike up from the swing company on Tuesday. Of course it appears that the person who pulled out in front of me has no insurance.
This is why I've carried Uninsured Motorist Insurance for the last 30 years. Heck my first wife collected $ 300,000.00
and then a quick divorce from Uninsured. Uninsured is the reason my insurance is double in California.
As to gear, I'm a coward who used to ride with a bike helmet back in the 60's and played soccer fully armored.
