V7iii backrests
« on: August 04, 2019, 09:20:54 PM »
Anyone know of a good backrests for the v7iii? Me and my wife are a little bit on the husky side, so we need something to fit our fat fannys.

If you mean something for your bride to rest against as a passenger, we use an HB topcase (with a backrest attachment).

HB top case with back rest here too. Swap it between the V7 and B12 as needed. Pillion reports it's quite good comfort wise.

Not to be a contrarian but the v7 iii seats fits on the v72 at least the one i checked. Is there some reason it wont work?

Some seats for earlier smallblocks don't fit directly on a III unless the extra fuse block is relocated.

Man that blue is beautiful. I like the looks of the Corbin. Is it really a big difference from stock? It looks like it would be.

I have one of those CORBINS , and am a little dissatisfied with the way it slides the driver to the rear and don't leave as much room for your rider .   I've been using a removable 30L rear box with a built-in backrest.   The wife seem to like it just fine , and the box is SO-HANDY !

Oooohhhh, did you relocate the abs/TC fuse block? Or check it for interference with the seat?

Also ifyou put the HB bags on it won't clear the extended bolt.

No I didn't but I did need to add some more rubber bushings now it's perfect but it won't fit my carbon shine
