I know that many of you have known my dad for many years and when you call are always asking me how he's doing. Well this week has not been all that great.

Thursday morning last week we almost lost him. He went white in the face and almost lost all consciousness. Ambulance took him to Lee's summit Hospital by the time they got there basically he had 0 blood pressure. They got him back up and stabilized.

Friday they found a clot in his leg but for some infuriating reason they sent him home. Primary care Dr told him yesterday to get back in the hospital so he went back yesterday and just now, after several calls and a whole lot of "WTF is going on and where is the doctor they are finally going to take him to surgery to try and get it out by dissolving it.

I can not explain how frustrated I am with the lackadaisical attitude of this hospital, but the dangers of moving him and things breaking loose is too high to change. His father died from the very same condition.

Now I'm not a real religious person so in support of him making it thru, I don't ask for prayers. I ask you to take a few extra minutes with your family this evening and just be a family. Enjoy it cause we all know it won't last forever.

Sherri Lynn and I are both lucky to have both of our parents still but we are not fooled into thinking we have forever to deal with things. Don't let life fool you.

I had the pleasure of speaking with your dad on two occasions while placing orders. A true gentleman and obviously a proud dad. I hope he makes a full recovery .

Best wishes. I enjoyed my lunch with him a few years ago. Planning to be by again, probably in September or early October so hope to see him again back at it at home.

He was ripping into them in his room and I was hitting them on the phone. They were probably ready to throw him out

Hey Curtis, Glad to hear that your Dad's primary Dr was on his game advocating for him.

I know they've made great advances in what they can do now, to clean up blood clots.
