Thank you! You've brought back fond memories of France and northern Italy.
Grindelwald and the St. Gotthard pass were favorites of mine, as well.
I lived in France for 3 years, in the 60's. Wish I were there.
Good fortune,  R3~

By the way some photos were taken with my phone, and some with my Trip35 using bog standard 200 asa consumer colour film. Its a great travel camera, no battery required, no mucking about with lenses. I just wished I had Kodak ProImage 100 with me, 3 rolls.

Directly over the road from that shot is a small cafe’.
While I was waiting for my oil change at Agostini’s, I went there for lunch and was accosted by two Swiss bikers.
They bought my lunch and multiple cappucino’s, for reasons I still can’t fathom...

What is not clear about this pic?

Hi Scotty,
what were you doing in Givet???
I was bicycling through once, and think of it as a nice little town on the Meuse.

Givet was our first stop for the night after getting off the ferry in Dunquerque at about 2PM - since we avoided the motorway it took us a while to get there, but we travelled though land steeped in history. The beer was good in the bar by the river. Though we had no dinner to speak of!! Stayed at the Ibis.

I reckon Ibis stack up ok against their competitors.

There's only a Ibis Budget in Givet, so I don't know.
There's a very good Ibis downriver & just over the border, in Dinant, with a good bar by the river....
