I appreciate the fabrication and design skills that are apparent when someone builds something like this.

OR when someone builds something like an operating, running, 1:12 miniature scale model of an MV Agusta or an exact 3-foot long running replica of a Bugatti Royale from scratch.

But (my mind working like it does) my second thought is always "For that time, effort, and money he could have built a full-size, usable one and be riding it all over the place!"

Like Lannis, I appreciate what he accomplished.  I have no desire to have one and can think of a million things that could have resulted from an equivalent input of time, money & skill but it's still pretty cool.

I'm far less impressed with the all-too-common ignorant/ambivalent word smithing writers & editors that apparently have no comprehension of the difference between casting metal and forging metal.  It shows a complete lack of knowledge for the process and respect for the project & craftsman.   the proof is in the printing...

 the first midget motorcycle shown doesn't have a baloney slicer engine.  He used the much smaller pepperoni slicer version.
