Personally, I'd ditch that sump for a stock pan and add the spacer as an option.

Thanks for the advice… will pull the pan.

With the lettering which is always worn off.. I cut a very small piece of hard foam rubber.. a little bigger than the largest font. Superglued a stick on the back. Painted some white Tamyia model paint on the foam and gently stamp it. Never needed to re-ink. Don’t press hard or tilt the pad. Just one light press for each. I am pretty sure they were pad printed in production. Does not need much paint at all.
Try it. I want to try the front engine cover next.

Congratulations! Don't ever let go of that bike!

I had 2 LM's that came through Raceco 333 Kent Ave, Brooklyn, NY. A '77 and an '87. I still mourn the 77. It's in good hands.
Do not confuse long time - several years gone, "Moto International"/ They were in Seattle, WA. A wonderful MG dealer and the owner was/ is the author of Guzziology.

IIRC: Raceco went back to UK in the early 90's. Their trans. and final drive tooling went to Charley Cole, Wickatuck Dr. Sag Harbor, Long Is., NY. I believe he has retired. Former serious, competent - man of steel type - road racer.

Raceco, UK continued to manufacture sleeves, barrels, pistons, cams, head work, etc., but focussed more and more on Formula Ford race engine development. I believe that company is now defunct. They campaigned a Guzzi Daytona for many years. IIRC: It was @ 14 or 1500cc when they sold it to an independent grp.

     Good fortune,  R3~

Manfred sold his building in Brooklyn and moved somewhere in PA and passed away a few years ago.  Last year I purchased a cam from Amedeo at Raceco UK but that is all he is doing in terms of Guzzi and I'm not sure he may produce more cams as time goes on.

He's been stumm since last year on Guzzi stuff BC...he told me that finding suitable cams for grinding was getting really hard these days.Add to that the recant batch of Agostini P3 's and demand is probably really low now too.

Got it done!
Haven't taken it for a danger ride yet but everything checks out. Nasty fast engine for sure. Thanks to all for your help and advice.
I am really happy with it. Yes, the hoses were hard and cracked in that sump. Changed them for now but will get a new pan sometime soon.

best,
Pete
