Now that I’m done with this project maybe I can come up with something besides hammers, nails, saws and boards🥵

Here's a five-year-old trip report from me -- but it's the kind that makes you want to stay home maybe. Nick liked it!

Let's see some more. Enough construction projects!

I went to the poor man’s replica a couple of miles North of Salisbury UK.
It couldn’t have been the real one, it looked too small and not old enough...!

Never heard of it.  Might be a tourist trap.

Jeepers Moto that’s a hell of an experience, I’ve not had anything like that.
Really good read mate. If I’m reading you right, that sounds like what we would call a line squall, it’s one mother of a weather event no matter what you call it.
Really exciting from the comfort of my i pad. Well written too IMO... :thumb:

Hmm well how about a trip I took in November?
Hanging out in Banamichi, Sonora for a get together. San Miguel de Allende   Hotel in SMdA.
AirBnB in Oaxaca. Puerto Angel. Bike packed and ready to ride Mx200 north out of Puerto Angel.
Always need to find secure parking for the bike. It turned hot and humid along the coast. A very rare straight section of road on Mx200.
The rains hit me in Los Mochis, still 3 days from the border. I had to cross 3-4 intersections flooded like this on the way to the hotel, scary. The bike got very dirty. Out ran the rain to Hermisillo but watch your head when walking along the sidewalks. The food at the end of the walk was worth it (dry aged rib-eye).
Managed to dodge the rain and get home, last hurdle was getting over the Grapevine out of LA, covered in snow but the road was dry if cold.  Bike gets well deserved wash.

5887 miles over 28 days.  Ride report over.

My favorite bike.  I haven't had many bikes.. 85 Honda V-45 Sabre, 87 Kawai 750 Ninja, 2007 Triumph 1050 Tiger, 2013 V7, 2015 Stelvio and the V85.  The V85 just seems to work for me, not as grunty as the Stelvio but it gets the job done and I enjoy the lighter handling of the smaller bike.  The only issue I had on my trip in Mexico was the left side rider foot peg started to come loose when the circ clip holding the pin on was lost somewhere.  I just removed the clip from the passenger peg and put it on the rider peg and just today went to the hardware store to get a replacement clip and re-installed the passenger peg.  Had times where the premium gas wasn't available so ran 87 octane and the bike never noticed the change.

I’m glad it’s standing up well to the use you’re putting it to.
I haven’t ridden mine too much yet, just doing some modifications..

You shy types don't let these pros scare you away , this isn't a contest , no money is involved  It would be really great to see a few hundred ride reports posted over the next couple of months . Pictures are nice , but if like me you haven't ever developed the skill of taking good photos , just tell us a story . Fair enough ?

Perfect! That's the way -- and the pace -- to do it!

Does that fender do the job in heavy rain?

I got home last week from a Moto Guzzi Experience Tour in Tunisia, with a pre-trip visit to Mandello del Lario and the Moto Guzzi Museum.
I'm working on a full trip report, but here are some teaser photos for now.

I'll post a trip report in a week or so.

Moto Guzzi!! Sponsored (and I suspect subsidized by MG) Check out tours here: https://www.motoguzzi.com/en_EN/Experience/Info/
For this tour I think you had to be a member of MG Proud Owners (The Clan in Europe).
All inclusive - meals, gas, lodging, ferry from Genoa, and motos - although you could ride your own Moto Guzzi.
And the price was 2/3s or half of a similar trip when you add the typical not included expenses.
That dinner photo was only half of the group - the evening after we returned to Genoa. The rest had already headed for home.
