Am I the only one that finds it annoying how when you post something to a topic the interkneck jambs an add into the middle of your post.
I think I could live with it tagged to the end of my post, but not in the middle. I have started removing all my CR/LFeeds to thwart the bugger.

I have made a pack with myself that I will never purchase ANY Product which I am forced to watch their advertisements prior to being able to view the video I chose to watch, this incident the garbage one must click by to go to the next aspect of a particular subject. I would willingly pay for the so called “free service “ to avoid the advertisement garbage.

I'm the same way.   It's why it amazes me that many sites say "You MUST turn off your ad-blocker and watch the advertisements before you can use this site!"   

WHY would anyone with any sense force someone to watch an advertisement that they are PAYING not to watch?   I make a mental note to not buy any of their overhyped crap, like you say ....

I think it's less offensive down under than it is in Britain, where you'd refrain from using it in some situations. For me, somewhere between "damn" and "f**k".

Fair enough but England is as far away as you can get from where I grew up, its a word that can be used in polite circles down there, not really a cuss word.

That particular cuss word is used a bit like MSG in foods.
It doesn’t have a meaning of itself, but it enhances what comes next.

Funny though, there are adjectives that work with the word and  others do not. It’s like how a white girl in the 90’s couldn’t say...”You go girlfriend”, but a black girl could.
Funny as buggery when I heard a bloke in a film say words to the effect that, he found it mildly arousing when Oprah talked like a black girl..(there was no racist tone or implication implied)
It has to be natural or it sounds weak and ineffectual, sort of like..”That was funny wasn’t it boys, did I do good..?”
I won’t embarrass anyone in particular, but I have a working man’s knowlege of the subject and ex pat Poms living long term in Australia are the premier mix..
Aussie wit and vernacular, in British accent does it for me.
Now where am I going to find one of those ?

I'm sure they do, it would cross the Tasman with all the to and fro, we used to be able to go back and forth without a passport, is that still the case?
I am not that familiar with current sayings, I've been away too long.
Heres a use of the B word I haven't heard for a long time, it was quite common to hear it when I was growing up

"Stone the bloody crows" used when something was going wrong, again not really swearing.
I think that must have originated in Aussie (Huzo, correct me if I'm wrong) because crows are not a bird you see in NZ, at least I haven't seen them.
They do have magpies which were probably introduced from Australia I doubt they could fly that far, I don't mind those, they chortle away quite melodiously in the mornings as the sun comes up.
But they can take back the rabbits and possums lol

Stone the (bloody or flamin’) crows, is/was a saying heavily popularised in the early part of the 20 th century in common vernacular and moving pictures. A predominately working class expression and most heavily used in country/rural environs, but not exclusively.
There was the quintessential male movie “actor” called Chips Rafferty who delivered it as laconically and accurate to the period as most or all others.
For those in the UK, Alf Stewart from Home and Away uses it, but it’s as much a tip of the hat to the old stars of yesteryear, as anything else.
