75 850T Charging System Questions
« on: February 19, 2020, 03:45:20 PM »
Hello all,

I recently purchased the EnDuraLast II 400watt charging kit for my Guzzi. I have one statement and two questions. Statement: I can not figure out how to mount the solid state rectifier to save my life. Question one: Can I use a the Bosch style rectifier (I'm assuming no)? Question two: Does anyone have a picture of how the rectifier that comes with the kit should be mounted? Is there a way to use the factory brackets or do I have to come up with new brackets to fit the rectifier/Guzzi mounting points?  Ok, three questions...

So close to being done.
Nobody gets out alive, enjoy the trip.

This one?

I think you're going to need to make new brackets to mount it in the original location (or anywhere else as well).

You probably could use the original diode board, but I'm guessing that would degrade the output of the system, which is the whole point of the upgrade.

Yes, that's one. When I try to compare the two... I don't know how to accurately compare the two...  :undecided:. One has 8 - 60amp diodes the other 8 - 50 amp... That's about as far as I can get via the internet.  I'll email or call the company. They should be able to tell me.

Already got a response. Said the stock / replacement rectifier will work just fine. Onward!!! I'm shooting for a Tax Day test ride on this old girl.
