Wonder how difficult it'd be to fit that to an 1100 Sport? That fairing is super cool! Wish I was closer to Edmonton to go take a look.

If anyone's interested in the kit, more information can be found here on Magni's site: http://www.magni.it/v11_fairing.htm

Super cool piece.  All you have to do is find a windshield for it, find some clip ons to fit, paint it and hope the rest of the hardware is there.

And perhaps nothing else is broken or missing?  Certainly the bracketry can be made if missing.  A good painter could try to match V11 Sport Green.  Broken fiberglass can be repaired.  That guy in Fla might make a windshield.

I am guessing the clip on bars might be the biggest challenge.

If all is there, it should have the clip ons.

Magni lists that kit as including:
fairing
windshield
head light holder
mirrors
new sets of handlebars
all the screw needed

It does look complete perhaps minus the clip ons but that's no biggie, these fairings are really good, my Sfida 1000 has an identical setup.

Magni would sell you the clip ons but I replaced both sets of Magni clip ons on my bikes with after market ones, the clip ons are nothing special

Never seen one wiith a smoked screen before. Ok you all know I'm completely biased but if I had a V11 I'd jump on it, they just look so good.

The fairing is quite thin and flexible, god help you if you lean or push hard against the plexiglass screen (it will crack)

However once mounted and in use they are robust, stiff and offer good protection (the fairing itself is surprisingly light, the frame not so much)

I helped a friend in the US purchase one for his V11

Magni has spares for all the parts, they can sometimes take a little while but you can purchase them, so no need to worry if you crack that plexigalss screen.

Just saying

Let me look at, I don't have a Sport per se, but a Magni look-a-likey, the frames are almost identical. I couldn't help with the tank and possible fouling but I can have look to see if it would be possible to mount it, if it helps.

You could also e-mail Giovanni and ask the question too, although he can be a bit hit and miss when replying to enquiries

Thanks for the information on the Magni kit Old Jock! If you are able to take a look to see if it’s be possible to mount, that’d be much appreciated! I sent Magni an email yesterday, and I’m hopeful to hear back soon.

That's quite a buy. If I had something *other* than the Mighty Scura, I'd already have it on the way here.

Well don't hold your breath but good luck with it, if you don't receive a reply let me know and I could give it a go for you

Does you're headstock have a section on the front like below, the square section that's atached with the M8 holes in it, that picture is off the 1000 but my 1100 frame has the same setup, but not sure about the standard Guzzi Spot

However looking at the bracket the attachment method may be slightly different on the kit, the bracket doesn't look quite the same at the attachment point.

Apart from that there is the obvious headlamp, you'd need to ditch the square headlamp and purchase a round one and shell.

Here is a link to some pictures of the 1000 bike with that type of fairing.  You'll probably need to wade through some photographs that are of no relevance but there are some in there that should give you an idea of how it all mounts

https://photos.app.goo.gl/Pn6vFB1BW5LgCjr58

In the meantime I'll shoot a mail to the guy I know who has that kit and ask him how the support bracket installs to the V11 frame and see if he responds to me or directly to the thread

The edges of the fairing go over the rocker covers and are secured in place by small brackets, I don't know if the V11 used the head sensor like the 1100 Sporti (or are we talking carb). If carb no problem, if injection then a small bracket might need to be fabricated. I can take a picture of it later to show you. I'm sure it would be easy for anybody proficient in light sheet metal fab

Fingers crossed we'll hear back from Magni -- I'll let you know either way. Messaged the seller, as I wouldn't mind the fairing regardless. If I can't fit it to the Spot, it'll just be an excuse to start another project, haha.

Let me check on the headstock when I get home. It doesn't have a square section like that, but what's there is potentially workable (pictured below). My bike is a '95 carbie. If needed, I'm more than happy to do a bit of sheet metal fabrication though. Definitely not expecting it'd be a straight bolt-on, and there's assuredly some other factors to address (headlight, signals, mounting the dash, etc.).

Thanks for the thorough reply, the pictures, and for checking with your friend though -- I sure appreciate it! Your Sfida 1000 is absolutely beautiful too!

You might need new indicators, the mounts for the indicators will be nothing more than a flat on the fairing and a hole either side, secured with a nut.

The indicators just screw onto the fairing and the wiring taken to bullets on the loom, so I don't think that would be a no go and if I was mounting them anyway I'd use either round or small LED indicators like I have on the 1000 (you'll see the type I have on these pics in the earlier link)

The fairing is pretty roomy at the front, again I don't think the standard panel which sits more or less flat would interfere and the fairing will be higher than standard. It could however give you some problems seeing the panel. On my Sfida 1100 which has a very different fairing, it was nigh impossible to see the idiot lights and to see the clocks a distinct head down movement was required to read them. I eventually replaced the panel with a mount from a Harley and stuck in a couple of Speed Hut gauges, but that's another story

As an example here is the 1100, it's the only one handy to give an idea of the 1100's faring shape (the mounting is identical)

The standard panel

The newer panel (wether it's more aesthetic or not is open to question but it's certainly more readable)

On the 1000 (which is the same fairing you're looking at) you can see how much more room is available, I replaced the standard Magni dash with a G&G unit as the wiring underneath was a complete rat's nest, that an older picture but it give you an idea of clearance.

You also might have quite a bit of messing about to get the clip on angles right to obtain full lock to lock. On both these bikes the clip ons clear the tank and fairing edges by millimetres if that EDIT: That's probably got more to do with the ISR levers though, I don't think the standard offerings would be nearly as much trouble

With the carbie you won't have the head sensor so the standard (more substantial) mounts can be used at the rocker boxes (they are just little triangular angled brackets)

Waiting to see if the guy who has one of these fairrings comes back to me, I'm guessing here but these 2 tubes on the headstock might be how it would mount, but you'd need to check what the V11 headstock looks like

Thanks again for the wealth of great knowledge John. You’ve got some gorgeous bikes!

Heard back from the seller, and unfortunately it’s already sold! Guess that solves my problem of fitting it, haha. Still curious to hear back from Magni, as that 1100 fairing you have is lovely.

That's a pity, TBH I thought somebody would jump on it, they are quite pricey and then you add on shipping, which makes that a real bargain at the price

You could ask Giovanni about the Sfida 1100 fairing if you preferred that instead it definately takes the standard indicators but uses the Trapezoidal headlamp, which is all show and no go, fine for daylight or early dusk riding but I wouldn't like to ride on unlit roads at night with it. I also don't know the availability of the trapezoidal headlamp.

If you want to investigate that I can measure up the 1100's tank width to give you an idea of how it might look with a standard Sport tank and if there would be a large gap.

Giovanni has moulds for all the fairings so he can get one made for you I'm pretty sure of that and he'll sell it to you unpainted if you want.
