At roughly 12:30 PM CST today the site went down in defense mode against an attack from Russia. Not kidding. It was a viscous attack. The site's firewall locked down, like "put up a gate to not allow anyone in".

Did you notice?

We're good now. All the perpetrators have been blocked and reported. Not that it will do any good.

I got an email from a Ruskie that said he had turned on my laptop camera and wanted $5k of bitcoins or he'd send the photos on the 'net. I wonder if there's a connection?

BTW, this post led me to donate for the first time. Hope the little bit helps keep that wall goin’. It’s like Cold War Berlin all over again (minus starving people).

Was it related to the grade of oil in the server?
