One of the original questions:
“He is not mechanically inclined...”

He shouldn’t buy a Guzzi.

What strange maintenance does a Norge require?  Fluids, plugs and valves?   Even if they guy doesn't do it, most shops can pretty easily.

Is there some mystical work product?

OTOH, there's not a lot of relevant comparison regarding a new RT vs Norge.

End of story. Nothing to see here, folks.. move along.

But he doesn't need to be mechanically inclined, since he has a dealer available... :thumb: :thumb, at least that's the way I read the initial message.

For other issues - cruise control - Throttlemeister (I know they are out of business, but potentially could find one on Ebay), or other throttle lock systems people use to "simulate" cruise control.

Sounds still like pillion comfort is an unknown, I guess it depends on how small or large is the pillion to determine if the Norge is better or worse than the BMW from a wind perspective.

Didn't Jeff have an RT for a while after having a couple of Norge's and then went back to the Norge after selling the RT?  I"m sure his perspective could be helpful here too.

“Any other thoughts on comparing the Norge to the 2020 BMW RT.”

The two valve Norge can be very hot in the summer, and I would speculate that it is especially hot on those bikes in Arizona.

Why does the newer 4 valve Norge put out less heat?

Why not just turn the Bonny into sport touring roadster?

Maybe someone has a better answer, but other than some changes to the plastic which I don't think were about the heat, they lowered the oil cooler instead of having it up where the heat passes over the top of the engine which dumps the heat on the rider and added the valve cover plastic.   Some say the Beetle map made a difference but mine has one and it didn't solve any heat issues.
