2012 V7C forks
« on: July 20, 2020, 10:04:46 AM »
Stock weight fork oil is 7.5w. I would like to go to 10w. Also put in some Ikon springs. How much oil per leg?

The V7C has Marzocchi forks. They require a 150ml air gap between the top of the oil & the top of the tube (spring out). This translates to approx 400ml each leg. The 1TB has Kaifa forks - the air gap is 120ml, which also translates to 400ml. 10wt is fine for me - around 80kg & with low bars & rearsets. Note that one brand's 10wt is not supposed to be the same as another's, but I can't really tell the difference. Enjoy your new ride.
