GPS mount for my '01 EV

I recently got a Tomtom Rider for use on my EV. I decided to make a bracket to fasten it to the handlebar clamp. I got a large flat washer the same size as the mount that came with the Tomtom. I drilled four holes in the washer to match the screw holes on the mount. Then I cut a piece of 3/16 flat steel to the right length and drilled two 8mm holes to match the upper two bolts on the handlebar clamp. After figuring out the proper angle I welded the washer to the flat steel. Now I screwed the Tomtom mount to my bracket.

Next I needed to make two spacers to drop in the recessed bolt holes in the handlebar clamp. For this I cut the heads off of two 8mm allen bolts and drilled the center out to 8mm.

Next I used two 8mm x 50mm stainless allen bolts to fasten my bracket in place. I painted it black and will get it powder coated this winter along with a few items from another project. I wired it to a "key hot" 12v circuit. It came out the way I wanted it and I am satisfied with the looks. Note on the last pic: That is 115,000 miles on the clock.
