Breva 1100 seat height increase?
« on: July 28, 2020, 05:04:30 AM »
Hello all. Quick question, I wondered if there was ever a high and low seat option for this bike and if I have the low one? I ask as I'm a 34 in inside leg and the bend at the knees is just a little more than is comfortable so ideally I'd like the seat an inch higher. If there isn't a seat option then has anyone any idea if there are aftermarket options?
Thank v much, this place is really interesting and friendly  :boozing:

There are no higher seat settings (like the Stelvio or v85 have).

There was a factory 'low' gel seat for the shorties... No higher option tho.

FYI the corbin gunfighter is very comfy but even lower than stock, can't speak to other brands.

I agree on the seat being too low, but I have good luck switching to GL1800 pegs (there is minor interference with side stand) and I ride the Corbin gunfighter, or the stock seat with a beadrider seat cover.

I do have a spare stock seat, I have been thinking of having it recovered and raised 1.5"...  but I never got around to it and now i'm pretty comfortable in my set-up

OK thanks. I suppose it's possible mine has the low seat option but not sure I'd be able to tell now. It's no big deal as the bike is only occasional use so I will survive  :thumb:

problem with truly low pegs is the sidestand... if you had the euro stand would prob not be an issue.  The goldwing pegs are a bit lower, also a flatter wider platform

As others have said, you could go with the slightly (1/2") lower Goldwing Pegs, but also send the seat out to a place like Sargent to get the seat built up.  https://www.sargentcycle.com/Custom-Seat-Services/

My B11 had the low seat (it was one of the red ones). I ended up buying the "stock" version from Moto International and I was much happier with my 32 inch inseam.
I don't know if the seats are still available.

Sargent did a really nice job building up the seat for my V7II. I would use them again.

Way back when I ordered my Corbin I just asked them to add a bit of height. Since they were all being custom made it was not an issue for them and at the time I didn't incur any extra cost.

Thanks all

Sending saddle to USA for work might be slight overkill, so I will look at pegs  :thumb:
