New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
JJ,Your 98 is a GT version. Could you illuminate what the differences between the auction bike, and yours are?
JJ, That’s a beauty, and nice mods. Thanks for the tutorial.
My Centauro GT has a belly pan, cafe wind screen, and a factory Centauro luggage rack. I also have the rear Biposto cowl, but you can't use that with the rack, so it's one or the other.Mine also has a plethora of sensible upgrades / mods: Caruso "steel" oil pump / timing gears, Will Creedon chip, "loud" dual German, red Hella horns, black Aprilia mirrors, dual Hyperlites on license plate holder, bright LED head light, (with cooling fan), leather tool pouch, etc.
My GT has GT decal on gastank, GT touring seat (not in either pic), GT shield. no belly pan and a bunch of accessories for sport touring
QUOTE: JJ- Can you tell me about the LED headlight upgrade? It was an aftermarket bulb, replacing the stock bulb, with a cooling fan that a Guzzi mechanic buddy of mine bought for me online. It is quite bright and just plugs right in! I believe this is the one:https://ledlightstreet.com/products/1998-moto-guzzi-v10-centauro-sport-led-headlight-bulb-9003?variant=29290416144437&msclkid=7e955a5270181702ff57057ac96cb2fe&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Bing%20-%20LED%20Other%20-%20Shopping&utm_term=4585994282020865&utm_content=LED%20Other%20-%20Shopping
I'd be surprised if it goes for more than ..... $3500.Lannis
Thanks. How is the light pattern?
I told the story in an earlier thread about a guy riding a 1980's Yamaha Venture, whom we met on the road in Springerville, AZ. I asked him if he was worried about getting spare parts if something happened. He said: "No, because I have four (4) complete Ventures in my garage..."
Yeah - but the 1000S is one very rare bird! I seem to recall only 70 coming to the US almost 30 years ago. The fender was unique to that bike. I heard of a ratty seat showing up on ebay a couple years ago and scooped up instantly for $500.
QUOTE: I ride a 1955 BSA M21 with 60,000 miles on it. The company that made it 65 years ago has been out of business for 48 years. Ask me if I'm worried about whether I can get parts for it or not!! LannisLannis - Are you worried about whether you can get parts or not for your 1955 BSA M21?!? (Only joking, of course!) Today, thanks to the Internet, no issues. I used to subscribe to Classic Bike from the UK, and that magazine is LOADED with companies providing spare parts and more for all kinds of extinct British classics...
Sold for $8400. My guess was $9K, but when factoring in the 5% additional buyers fee that’s close.
I think Centauro prices will eventually rise, but *this* one was pretty special.
