New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Came over a rise, saw a small pot hole, felt a small bump and then a roar of exhaust. I have no idea about fixing it. I considered getting a floor jack and moving it back into place and then I saw the whole rear unit was bent out of place and the bracket broken.
Annoying to be sure but most importantly you stayed upright 👍
If you wind up getting unsatisfactory parts availability locally, check out ducatiomaha.com. I 'm getting a thermostat and coolant thermistor for my '95 Duck in <2 weeks with free shipping. The email trail once I placed the order stated the parts were shipping from Italy..which if true...is pretty amazing, especially since I had waited 5 weeks to get a BMW part from the Netherlands recently. Get that thing back on the road!
I saw a little pot hole. It felt like a little pot hole. Just a bump in the road. Not worth making evasive action at 75 mph and it didn't feel like more than a small bump when I hit it. Oh well. The rear header in probably bent. Perhaps it can be rearranged.
Although it doesn't really matter but looking at the damage and location to the side collector/cat cover I'm beginning to think that this damage was done before you took it on that ride and the small pot hole you hit just shook it totally off the front pipe. Had you left it parked somewhere public before your ride?Ciao
But I bet it sounded great! Just think, a lot of Ducati riders pay big money on full race systems to get that sound!
I tend to agree that it was previously damaged and the pothole just jarred it loose. A co worker hit a pothole here in Atlanta in a company truck that had been previously repaired. The pothole knocked the bumper halfway off the truck!
+1 Ducati Omaha, good folks!
I got his in the mail today. It's a $1500 Ducati muffler. Luckily, many riders toss them and put on aftermarket pipes and reflash, so for $1500 those guys get another 4HP. So from Ebay, $72 w/shipping ($40) and tax. <Guzzi Content>
Some good news. This one is back in service.
