Living room find
« on: August 27, 2020, 10:06:29 PM »
Couldn't find a nice Rossa Corsa so had to settle for this. Yes, it was in his living room, for years, fortunately fuel drained, and then he died. Word reached the family that I liked oddball motorcycles, or that I was an oddball, anyway they contacted me and I bought it from the estate. Fuel and battery and it fired and sounds great. Got a roper plate coming and tires, head torque etc.

Always have loved that color scheme.   Sure is a change from the Barn Finds!

I'm sorry for the family that the owner passed away, but they did exactly the right thing - found someone who would appreciate something he obviously cared about, and made the deal.   So often, it goes the other way - the family believes that Dad's motorcycle is worth some fortune and think everyone's trying to rip them off.

NOW it's going to have a second life as a rider, right?  Right?

Beautiful bike, glad it ended up in your hands  :thumb:

V11's in living rooms, I never knew that was a thing, but that's where mine had been parked, lol.

Glad to hear you've got the Roper plate on the way,,, there are improved shift pawl return springs out there as well and I think there may be another run on Lucky Phil's extended shift arm linkages, V11Lemans.com has a wealth of info on these bikes.

     Wishing you many safe miles.

The coppa itailia is soooo much prettier that the rosso or Nero corsa. Probably the prettiest paint scheme ever put on a guzzi.

Looks like it also has the Guzzi titanium exhaust system. Big bucks and IIRC came with a different ecu.

Very nice!
