Just flip a coin for fun

If you guys remember, last year I found a great old Honda CB1000C with only 4K miles. I’ve really enjoyed riding an old antique motorcycle like this one that is in really like new condition, it’s a blast to ride!
A couples months ago I finally found a replacement for my 2015 Tourer, a 2002 Stone, which was also a low mileage great find. I ridden the Stone enough now to say I’m attached to it. I just got back from a backroads circle around the farmland in my area, what a sweet machine!
Now I’m at the point that when I go to the basement to suit up I’m having a hard time deciding which one to ride, what a great problem in life to have. Soooo, guess what I’ve started doing, yep, flip a coin and honor the decision. The Orange Goose won this evening.

That’s a great way to keep both bikes fresh, without one getting jealous of the other! 😀

Thats a good problem to have!!  Im sure with time you will find one bike is better at some rides then the other..  but other then that, you cant beat just leaving the choice to the fates!!

I was kind of funning around with the coin flipping jester but serious about really liking both bikes and the stark differences between the two. There are really no better or worse, good and bad or fun or more fun, they are just good older more simple machines with a lot of heart.
Also I fulfilled a promise I made to myself a few months ago that I didn’t want any more modern motorcycle With advanced computer systems or modern technology and these two don’t.

Is good to have a choice. My Duck and Goose have very different personalities requiring very different riding styles. Which one goes out depends on the mood. Also, to help make the choice, Mrs. larrys will only ride on one of 'em...

I have the same issue with the ‘85 and the Norge.
I enjoy the Norge more but I ride the trail bike to justify buying it. The cruise control is very good and I’m timing the kilometre usage on the Norge, to coincide with turning over 200,000 at Mandello next year..(fingers crossed on that one..).
On the topic of a coin toss..
A year ago, I was deciding whether to go to Europe or turn up at the gate at Cedar Vale. I thought “I’ll toss a coin..”
So I did, I had to toss it three times before it came down “Europe”..(but I got there eventually).

LOL!!  You would have suprised a lot of people if you kept it under your hat and just showed up. ...  I was thinking of trying to hit CV this year..  before the world ended..  Not as far as you, but it was still a 2 day+ ride for me from upstate NY

I’m sure the white whale is a comfortably mile muncher but it’s a beast:)

A beast indeed....   Funny think, the seat height on my '14 Vision is only 25 inches, (I have a 1" factory lowering kit), so it is very manageable, (both feet firmly FLAT on the ground), even though it weighs in at 871 pounds. 

Once you let the clutch out in first gear, it loses 200 pounds!   Everyone that has ever ridden it is totally surprised how well it handles for a big bike.  The suspension / brakes (ABS) are excellent.

In 6th gear, at 75-80 mph on the open highway, it is a dream to ride...

A good buddy pal of mines brother-in- law got one just like yours a couple years ago. I remember my buddy telling me he rode it and was amazed how lite and nimble it felt even while sitting still. I test rode one several years ago when they first came out. At the time I was riding a FLHTC Harley and being really use to it the Victory just didn’t feel right, I guess would be the best way to put it. I remember it was considerably stronger than the HD but I didn’t get a chance to
Really put it through the paces as it was a guide led test ride.

Thanks for the compliment. I feel really fortunate to have found this mint condition low mileage(9700) Orange Stone. I got the bike for 2k and an extra 250.00 for the Givi deluxe bags, mounts and rack. I also wanted the 02 year model because of the 15M more basic simple ECU.
