LP designation

G'day all,
time for a stupid question.  What does the 'LP' designation meand or stand for in relation to Breva/Norge/Sport models?
I've searched for the answer here and via google, to no avail.

Strange one.. seems a lot of the parts stores list parts for them as "Moto Guzzi Breva Shocks, Type (LP)" for example - is that why you ask? I also couldn't figure it out

I've been looking for a replacement exhaust and I found one on ebay for a decent price.  This particular seller lists parts for sale to suit a Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport (LP), as per the attached pic.



I've googled the inscription on the pipe with no joy.

That's a good a theory as any  .

When I searched out of curiosity, noticed that the (LP) was used on more descriptions than just say the Left Pipe, though that is a good theory in that case.

I asked my brother whom lives in Italy and is more current with car and motorcycle designations from there (things like L = Lusso, etc) and he has never heard of LP used for anything, but based on content he guessed maybe LP stands for Lunga Percorrenza which means Long-Distance - so Maybe Breva 1000 Long-Distance? - Don't know, but that's officially what that means now

 One of the advantages of working with the Italians is that they all know each other ,or more accurately the folks who work for MG know the folks at Ducati . In 2009 when Ducati was luring Larry Pegram away from Honda , part of the bait was to offer a few pennies for certain MG parts , and to stamp LP onto those parts .

G'day all,
I did a bit more searching last night and came across this handy website https://www.mgcn.nl/database/mg-framenummers
According to this the 'LP' just refers to the 'family' (you must say that like the Godfather of course  ) of bikes, in this case Breva/Norge/1200 Sport. 
I ended up getting in touch with the seller of the exhaust that I listed and they indicated that it was for a 2V/cyl model.
Thanks for everyones insgight and suggestions as to what 'LP' really stood for, there were some very funny ones among them.
