Didn't realize they met @ Ark City. No wonder there's a big Indian archeological dig going on there. That must have been like two interstates meeting in the day. Lots of history on the Ar-KANSAS river. Like Bent's old Fort.  :thumb: Attended many a bluegrass festival on the Walnut @ Winfield, Ks.

I've talked to the lady that does the tours. I need to do that before the prairie winds get to chilly. :thumb:

We were going to get a tour of the lost city archaeological digs during the Cedar Vale Rally.  Unfortunately it didn't happen.  Perhaps late '21 or '22 we'll get a chance?

Oddly enough, despite the size of city, perhaps visited/conquered by Coronado, not a lot is left for  understanding the the culture.  There are remnants among the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes (Wichita, Keechi, Waco and Tawakoni) which were apart of the Caddo language.

We talked to the folks running the tour , couldn't get them to break it up into one or two hour tours . Figure most of our rally attendees didn't want to do a six hour walking tour . Bullitt Bob is working on this .
