73 Ambo 850. The current fuel line set up uses an “X” and single banjo’s on the VHS 29 carbs. Bike runs (ran) fine. My 75’ 850T has VHS 30’s. When I rebuilt the T it had no “X”. It uses twin banjos on each carb with a line running from one carb to the next. More of a loop I would say. This bike runs fine also. My question, is one setup better then the other. I have duel banjos that I can change too on the Ambo if I am convinced that one setup is better then the other. Thanks,
Surprised Chuck in Indy hasn’t chimed in on this, he had some personal experiences as I remember....Mark
That picture makes me sick to my stomach. I got everything back together from getting those bolts out of the generator mount to getting rid of the X in the fuel line. Cleaned so much crud and tidied up wires and connections and such. It started back up like a champ. But I either didn’t tighten the oil feed line or I should have replaced the crush washers.
Yes.. yes I have. you couldn't pay me to use the X crossover.
And that would be a ‘73 Eldorado 850.
