You are so lucky to be able to get food like that JJ.  I miss having breakfast at the Plaza Restaurant in Santa Fe.  We have very good seafood here on the Cape, but good southwestern doesn’t exist.

No issues with good Mexican food here in the Southwest, but being born and raised on the east coast (NY), I do miss the authentic New England seafood like "live" Maine Lobster, (not Gulf Shrimp tails - Langastino), or steamed clams, or fresh clams strips, quahogs, etc.,  The is nothing like a good old fashion Boston / Cape Cod "CLAM BAKE!" :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Was in Connecticut back in October and didn't have a chance to gorge myself on lobster rolls.  A tragedy I tell ya.

I kept lobster traps for years since my wife loves lobster and they ease the pain of going tuna fishing and coming home empty handed.  The down side is that you have to tend them, storing bait is a pain, and they really mess up the boat.  And I don’t eat lobster.  Now a bucket of oysters and a bottle of bourbon and a good friend to talk with make for a great winter’s night.

PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember driving down to Mobile, Alabama with a good friend who's family was from Montgomery, AL.

We got a bushel of fresh oysters right off the boat, shucked them and ate them right there.  The best!! :thumb:
