Ok non fishing, your v65sp apparently does weigh close to 400, your actually weight if you had the 2 1/4 more gallons of fuel to get you to 90% capacity would be 415lb.   I guess I didn't read your post carefully enough, as I am speaking about a stock sp.

If it were stock we would have to add the following:
 : At least 7lb for lead acid batter, likely more
 : 3lb for stock handle bar
 : 2lb for standard peg set up
 : 14lb for another two and a quarter gallons of gas
 : At least 6lb for lowers, likely significantly more.   I'm not going to count your intake mods as I doubt that make up much difference.

Being generous, that brings a v65sp to 433lb curb weight. Of course that would be without OEM side bags that easily add another 20lb.
My v65sp was pretty stock, and had all the above including bags, producing a weight well over 450lb.

Well, I put a deposit at the only dealer in the DFW area, they have only carried Guzzi for a few months. They are in for an education, the sales man also made several notes of the "color", I told him "The Anniversary Model"
We'll see what happens.

For around $3700usd less I'd buy a royal Enfield Interceptor every day of the week over a V7.

The RE are nice, and very nicely priced, but I would go for a new v7 any day of the week!

I haven't seen an anniversary addition yet, my dealer is still selling 2017s new.
I have no idea where they are getting all these new old bikes from but they don't offer a discount although they did offer some deals on the last of the 1400s.
They also sell Aprilia, Indian, Husqvarna, RE, Triumph, Ural and a couple of other brands, its a good place to comparison shop.

Well, I haven't heard anything from the salesman, so I contacted the dealership.
The store manager said he has yet to hear anything from the Piaggio Group.

He also informed me that the salesman I was dealing with, tell on some stairs and broke his hip...

Should I run, is someone trying to tell me something, lol

No 100th Anni bikes have landed in America yet, I would cut the dealer a little slack on not having a firm delivery date..  We all know how well Piaggio supports and informs the dealers  :embarassed:

I was just told there will be a 2-3 week delay in the delivery of my new trials bike. Seems like they are limiting the number of dock workers so things are a bit backed up.  :sad:

They have found a great excuse for the delays. The Suez canal is blocked and our container ship can’t get thru. Might as well open up the vino.

In the same boat - 2020 Night Pack for £6500 or new 850 with £500 free accessories for £8000. The 2021 is 14 kg heavier with a smaller tank (4L less but offset by  a 15mpg fuel improvement) and 10mm increase in seat height - but pondering whether the price difference is worth it. Beefier engine, better gearbox and clutch, better seat and suspension, better alternator output... Is that it?

Whoah - more power, heavier weight, AND 15 mpg more fuel efficient? I'll believe that when the real world numbers come in. I'm surprised a mpg spec was even released. That number is often a secret until release, just like the wet weight for obvious reasons.

I'm having a hard time with the 15mpg more claim. I am consistently getting 57 to 60 mpg on my III when joy riding around here. I have a little trouble swallowing 75mpg.

No it's not.

Ever since the MK I models the Steel metal fuel tank has been the same 5.5G / 21L - though it was originally incorrectly reported to be 5.8 G - that was corrected in the literature by 2014 or so.


And yes, unless you're pinching pennies I'm going to guess the price difference is well worth it. And that's from someone who currently has TWO different V7s (MK I and III).
