(NGC) - Near perfect meal.
« on: July 14, 2021, 10:19:52 AM »
Stuck waiting at the Nissan dealership waiting to find out why the transmission they rebuilt in May is now leaking. Anyway in the meantime I have been editing stored photos. Came across this one. Our own prepared dinner.

Here, have some more tomatoes with that handsome meal. One week's take from the garden last year. Won't have as many this year because of hip surgery, but I'm trying.

No need for potatoes.  Fresh grown, from the garden, grilled asparagus and a steak from a nebraska raised steer (friend of mine's).  Fed out on corn.  Cooked rare to medium rare.  Washed down with a Nebraska local breweries oatmeal Porter and a Kentucky mule. (Think Moscow mule but replace the vodka with rye whiskey).

That meal deserves a better plate and a real fork.

The beef I pictured is raised a mile from my house. In May we bought our annual 1/2 a beef. Total cost came out to $3.20 a pound, hard to beat that plus the quality is so much better then the common store bought stuff.

My wife doesn't like green chilis, so while she was gone I had to make some Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas.
