Agents At Canadian Border Go On Partial Strike Just As It’s Set To Reopen

So for the Canadians out there.  Is this true?  I stopped having any ambition pre-Canadian National MGNOC rally because it's "special" treatment given to non-whites going into the country and the same for the U.S. side. 

This is with a U.S. passport.  That's at land crossings.  Flying in through an airport the treatment is different but no land crossings for me into or out of Canada.

  That's such " yesterdays news" . Later on that evening they appear to have come to an agreement .

....but then again it might be news in only Canada or to someone in the U.S. and from Canada expecting expecting to visit relatives.

As much as I want to get back into Newfoundland it looks like my personal choices will keep me in the lower 48 for the foreseeable future, and I'm good with that. Thank Dog there is 7 lifetimes worth of stuff to see and do south of Trudeauville.

The strike action has been averted, looks like contract talks have resolved the wage issue.

Yes, the Cdn border is open to vaccinated US visitors, but the US is not welcoming Canadians as yet, and no indications when they may change their mind and let us back in.

I hope the Yanks let us Canucks in soon! We have been able to fly into the USA the whole time but for some reason we can not drive across, the number of Canadians fully vacinated is now one of the highest in the western world so hopefully the gates will open soon.

Local Minneapolis  news just reported the border is open today at International Falls . Average wait is 7.5 hours

From what I read locally, the work to rule delays at the border are aimed commercial vehicles. Leisure visitors to Canada are unaffected.

And dammit, I'm impatiently waiting for the U.S. to open borders for visiting Canadians. 
I've got a chrome seat bar that has been sitting in a P.O. Box in Ogdensburg, NY since...the day after the border closed.
