Thanks everybody for posting to this thread. I'm 5'-8" and weighed 223 at my last physical on 10/11. I normally swim 4 days a week for 45 min per session, but my pool's been closed since March 2020 due to - and then remodeling so have gained weight. Have been prescribed meds for heartburn too. 3 days ago I started a spreadsheet listing everything I eat every day, and made spreadsheets of calorie counts for all the foods I typically eat and feel I should eat in the future. The weight/age/calorie calculators say I need about 2,700 calories a day to maintain 223 pounds. The last 3 days I've been consuming around 1,200 calories/day and have already dropped 5 pounds. Feels good. Haven't had heartburn since too.2 winters ago I took my van to southern Baja for 2 months of windsurfing and lost 20 pounds. Ate a lot of fish tacos. Am leaving at the end of the November to do the same, this time for a little longer. Hoping to come home in February weighing 185.
