Anything that comes after the opener “you got me” is worth seeing.  We need pictures.

Ventilation is a must, its is amazing how hot and humid a shipping contauer can become, with all the fun of rust and mould for whatever is stored in there.
Also bikes have fuel, fuel vapours will need somewhere to go.
Air vents on the side top and bottom and a built on tropical roof should kept things manageable.
Didnt happen without photos.

Connex boxes have built in vents on each side. there is very little possibility of lightning damage as long as it sits flat on the ground. if heat is an issue paint the roof white or use the space for solar!

A friend of my had two shipping containers and he sold his land they were on, so I bought one.  It’s wire and light along with a vent in the roof and doors.  I’m toying with a plane.  I have a ductless 1&1/2 ton heat pump still in the box( slum land load never put it in any place) thinking I my put it in the Box.  Will see.Rudy

Painting the roof sounds good.  I’ve got 500 watt complete solver system in the box’s for a toy hauler, just haven’t put it on. Could cut one tree and have a clear view of the sun.Rudy

One of the best mods I see to a connex often is to build a false wall just inside the doors (about 24") and on one side of wall a house door (or double for a garage) next to it an opening window. this allows for you to pin back the main doors and still have some security with easy ventilation and light and a small porch and overhang for needful things when front is sealed. also the cam locks on LH door can be removed as they are redundant and always a PITA!

If using as a storm shelter an escape hatch the opens inward is a must have.

I'd like some photos Rudy, the shelter and the bikes.

I've got the typical shelter built into the garage floor.  They cut a section in the garage floor, take out the dirt and bury a steel box with a sliding door and removable steps.  You park you car over the top.  Would almost be a mechanic's pit if he could gain access to the work area and get in and out of the pit.  Otherwise, some help moving the car would be necessary.
