Hats off to you YD. Here’s our rescue fur baby of 14 years we lost last June and still not over the loss.
Great story!I need to not work 60 hours a week so I can bring home a pooch from one of the local rescues. Well at least having a little extra money means I can help out, even if I don't get a new family member for couple more years.
Baxter, my rescuer…get it?on the left playing for the camera. He lived in a park alone for 6 months. Did nothing but eat, sleep, and shower his gratitude when he found us thru a rescue shelter. The purebred on the right took it upon herself to adopt him, constantly keeping vigil on him. Inseparable..If only i was as great as my dog thinks i am…
YD and Ncdan, I feel your pain. We lost our beloved cattle dog a couple of months ago after battling chronic hepatitis for nearly 9 years. I've never had such a smart, intuative dog as Dixie who could read my mind like a book. Our standard schnauzer, Pepper continues to wander around the house looking for his big sister. When we are ready, we will certainly get a rescue. Thank you YD for all you do and have done and other posters for sharing your stories.
Mark, maybe volunteer at a rescue. You can take Pepper with you, give him the opportunity to interact with other playmates...and maybe he'll find a next best friend for your family.
Great Story Both of ours are rescues! Tessa and Bianca
