I did a fairly exhaustive search and came up with nothing concrete. A project bike I bought came wired but needs an overhaul.
Bike is 1980 1000SP converted to square fin big block and is equipped with a Bosch alternator, FH020AA Regulator Rectifier (R/R), and a M Unit.
I got the bike started before I tore everything apart but as I'm putting things back together, I'm starting to question the way it was originally wired from the alternator to the rectifier regulator and M Unit. The yellow phase wires from the alternator to the R/R are a no brainer and not an issue. The blue and purple DF and Y wires were routed directly to the M Unit's Aux ports which I believe are both 12v out, which doesn't seem correct. The R/R has no input for these wires and I'm going nuts trying to figure out where they're supposed to go. Obviously, I'm a novice at wiring this type of system so any guidance is much appreciated.
By the way, when the bike was running, the lights were all flickering badly.
