Unless your vehicle le is designed to run on E85 it wont run properly. In fact, it may not run at all.
The alcohol in gas is not there to deal with water. In fact it attracts water. That's why airplanes dont use it.
When I helped a friend with his race cars we ran either 114 race gas or E100. But it required more than just switching fuels. Ya gotta switch thw carb -or if injected, change the fuel map. E 100 requires almost 3x the fuel. It doesn't like cold weather. All that fuel going in creates a lot of condensation. You can advance timing due to the engine running cooler. All that fuel washes down the cylinders and gets past the rings. Where does it go, along with the water? Yep, into the oil. E 85 acts similarly. There are a few oils that are impervious to ethanol but the fuel and water still fills the sump.
If you car or bike is not a flex fuel vehicle dont even think about using E85.

Many years ago, I ran into a Ducati Sport Classic rider that though the whole "E10 ethanol damage thing" was just another internet rumor.  "My bike is just fine," he told me.  Of course, I (having owned a Sport Classic) knew better.  I walked over to his "perfect" bike and lifted the fuel tank up off the frame with my hands.  "Ethanol has caused your plastic fuel tank to expand to the point where the only thing holding it onto the bike are the fuel lines and gravity," I told him.  You've never seen a bike owner get so slack-jawed in your life.  I sure ruined his day...some people are just oblivious.  Ignorance is bliss, I suppose.
