New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Ciao! Non lasciare che la porta ti colpisca nel culo mentre esci!
You traded an XR1200 on a Wing? I won't call you a doofus but............. I love Sportys but that one is the holy grail. I wish I had kept my 2006, prices on Sportys in my neck of the woods have skyrocketed. kk
FWIW, I seriously thought about a new wing too when I was in the market to get rid of the lemon MGX. Great bikes, dealers everywhere, handled great, tons of power and the tech is pretty good too.But the Indian won my Pro/Con list by about 3 points. You can't go wrong. Good luck.p.s. Keep the EV Hands down the best motorcycle Guzzi has ever built (IMHO). I still have two of 'em and have zero plans on ever letting them go.
The newest version of the Gold Wing has almost nothing in common with previous versions beyond the engine and the name. It's amazing how compact it is compared to the earlier version. Die hard two-up "Wingers" found that to be its biggest fault. I would disagree. Only a test ride will determine if it's the right bike for you.
Never rode the latest model but when we found out the luggage was even smaller than the first generation 1800 we no longer considered it. Before the Wing I had a BMW airhead RT. The stock bags and Luftmeister tailbox held half again as much as the Goldwing. I got a Pakit Rak to compensate. The new Wings may work for a solo rider, not so much for a couple traveling cross country.Pete
In making the newest Goldwing trimmer and slimmer, Honda was attempting to appeal to a younger rider and get away from the "Geezer Glide" image the bike has. Don't think it worked. After all, even the "stripped down" version without the top case is over $25K. Add in fees and taxes, and you're closing in on the $30K mark. Don't know how many 30 and 40 year olds are going to spring for that. I'm not alone in thinking Honda would have been better off redesigning their venerable ST1300.
FK can stick around.....nothing in Luap's rules state that you have to own a Guzzi to be here!More the merrier.....If he wants to ride an inferior machine with dealer support coast to coast and a huge riderfan base it's his call!!! Ride safe and often...Jeff

they later made a cruiser-tourer version of the bike (st1300). That is the Honda ctx1300. I have one and I reallly like it.
I spent time at a Honda 'ship as a service writer. This is my direct observation and in no way do I say ALL wingers are some of the most condescending, pretentious folks this side of the grass.
Hey all, Been a dedicated Guzzi rider/owner for over 30 years but have been giving serious consideration of selling several if not all of my Guzzi's and buying a Honda Gold Wing Tour Automatic . Anyone have any experience with the new Goldwing's? .
At this time I'm uncertain what I'm going to do. I wanted to setup a test ride on both the new 2022 Goldwing and a new Guzzi V85TT of which they have in stock. I was told since they have limited inventory that demo rides are out. Well I'm not about to shell out $25,000 on a new GW if I'm only allowed to sit on it in the showroom.
What about Southern Honda Powersports in Chattanooga?
