New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
True. That would be BMW riders.
You are obviously talking about Sloans. That makes me curious because they are still sending me emails inviting me to one on one demo rides. Did you tell them that you are a high potential buyer? I know if I had a V85TT I would let you ride it. Maybe Ronnie would be interested in swapping bikes with one of yours for a ride so you can experience the V85TT and he can experience a big block Guzzi.
Ciao! Non lasciare che la porta ti colpisca nel culo mentre esci!
Hey all, Been a dedicated Guzzi rider/owner for over 30 years but have been giving serious consideration of selling several if not all of my Guzzi's and buying a Honda Gold Wing Tour Automatic . Anyone have any experience with the new Goldwing's?I have a 2021 tour dct. I’ve had just about every Harley, Indian, and BMW touring bike. The Wing is my favorite by far. I love the dct more and more every time I ride it. I’m considering a Guzzi as a second bike, maybe the V85tt. I’ve had a Norge, California tour, and V7 III. But there’s no way I’m giving up my Wing. It’s surprisingly agile, unbelievably fast (in sport mode), rock solid on the highway, and all day comfortable. It’s the one big touring bike that I’ve had that is good at everything. .
Brian as David suggested, you’re welcome to test ride my V85TT. Just let me know one weekend and we can meet up and ride.
I haven't ridden the latest iteration, but chose the Vulcan Voyager 1700 in 2010 after a good test ride on the wing. Back to back there was no comparison in handling and rider comfort. Unless you have a great deal in the works, I recommend test riding the Indian Challenger, Harley Davidson Road Glide, BMW RT, and the Golwing back to back before making a decision. If the automatic is the main driver, then other bikes like the Tracer 9, an maybe Versys 1000 have quick shifters so you don't have to clutch.
FWIW, I seriously thought about a new wing too when I was in the market to get rid of the lemon MGX. Great bikes, dealers everywhere, handled great, tons of power and the tech is pretty good too.But the Indian won my Pro/Con list by about 3 points. You can't go wrong. Good luck.p.s. Keep the EV Hands down the best motorcycle Guzzi has ever built (IMHO). I still have two of 'em and have zero plans on ever letting them go.
I would be tempted by your Cali if you ever decide to sell it, that is.
Congrats on the bike, IMO way better than the Goldwing. Best of luck.
Enjoy! Looks like a nice touring rig.
Clickbait: I feel a little emotionally drained and kinda used. I signed on from the premise of selling one or all 4 Guzzi's and buying a Goldwing. Then at one point considering not selling any but adding another Guzzi. Then, in the end, selling no Guzzi's and buying no Goldwing. Seriously?
While I don’t own one, I’ve demoed several of the new Wings. Impressively smooth and nimble. While I am not a fan of the DCT version some seem to love it. Lots of mid range torque makes riding a big bike like the Gold Wing pretty easy. The only down side is Honda is proud of them and prices them accordingly. Candy Crush
In the end I did not sell any of my Guzzi's nor did I buy a Gold Wing but this followed me home today.
