Lower footpegs for V7 II

Hi Guzzi pilots,

What are the options for lowering the footpegs on a  2015 V7 II?

I'm already aware of the Knight Design lowering footpegs...but at $200 a pair it's too rich for my diet!

Any other cheaper options or hacks out there...perhaps footpegs from another bike brand or adventure bike might fit?

Honda Goldwing 1800 fit straight on and are about 10-12 mm lower . I fitted them to my Stornello to replace the solid ally OEM ones . The Honda ones are long enough to give some leg clearance with the Arrow pipe on RH side very comfy. About $50 on line seem well made . Older Honda CB bike pegs fit straight on too but not as long or wide as the GW pegs.

Thanks Duncan for the solid tip. I wear size 46 (12.5) riding boots so would appreciate a roomier footpeg. I might be able to adjust the shift lever up 10-12mm too for even more room.

Could I ask what year GL1800 your pegs are from? I want to make sure I order the right model. Also, if it's not too much of a bother would you be able to upload a pic?

I put these on my Norge and Stornello, they work very well, and are pretty cheap on fleabay.

I have them on my V85TT. Seem to work for most modern Guzzis. Mine were from a 2021 Gold wing (according to the eBay seller). Work great for me and just a little lower. The Knight designs are really nice but yeah $$$$

Another vote for KD: spends, but if you’re going to spend time with the bike, we’ll worry it IMO. I have them (1”) on a Griso and V7ii.

A caution: Be aware of the limited lean angle. Folding pegs for certain.  R3~

Going back to an old thread.

Similar to the GL1800, has anyone tried Honda Valkyrie pegs on a V7? Seems like they have even more of a drop than the Goldwings?

The GL 1800 will fit on a 17 III but not the earlier v7 series. I don't know about the Valkyrie ones.

Since others have said that Honda CB pegs might also work, I'm assuming Honda mostly uses the same mounting dimensions as Guzzi. If that's not the case, I have a few vintage Honda projects that could also benefit from lower pegs.

one more data point, the image below shows a V7 peg compared to a V85TT peg with the rubber removed, a one minute job. Looks to lower the foot position by 3/4". Not a big platform like the GL1800's, but another easy option if you can source V85 pegs.
