What does delortho 36 PHF Bs and Ds mean?

The letter Bs and Ds must mean something. s = is for sinisto = left side. But what does B and D mean?
They look to be almost identical. I know that B-type has been used for Ducati and that D-type has been used on Guzzi.

But I would like to know what is the differences.

IIRC, it distinguishes the mounting method to the cylinder head.

I am not sure. They both use the rubber/plastic tube.

HHmmmm, not sure, just a wag,,, the word for "right" in French is "droit" I'm guessing Italian could be "droito"???

Maybe "B" stands for "Bi" either way,,, lol

Hopefully one of the learned wise men chimes in

D =  Destro (right side). S= Sinistro ( left side) B is rubber mounting spigot type ( flexible fitting) as per the Dellorto AGuide 1.1

Not only B & D there is M which is the clamp on mount and there's  G & P .

On some Dellorto carbs there is a different jet thread diameter between the A and C types, the larger 6mm diameter jet size is used on C types I think. I found this out just recently on VHB carbs for a Moto Morini 3-1/2

For VHB square slides there is A, B & C and to order parts I used manual & catalog #30.1
For PHF & PHM round slides I used Guide 1.1 for tuning, Catalog 11 and 15 for ordering parts
I got these from Herdan Corp in the 80's, 90's & 03. All with different info in them for what you want to order.
