I have a KOA Kabin reserved in the Texas hill country the week after Easter. It's time the "Twisted Sisters" and I got acquainted Hopefully all the bluebonnets will be doing their thing then
Always wanted to ride Death Valley. Visit Maine and see some lighthouses. Key West on a motorcycle (been there many times in car).We FINALLY managed the Colorado 550 and other interesting roads "out there", plus the Grand Canyon, etc. What are your road trip plans for 2023 ?
I rode to Death Valley from N Kentucky on my Norge in April; spent 3 days riding in and around the NP. One of the best rides of my life! Temp in the valley got into mid 90's, which was no big deal. However, on the way, it was pretty cold in a few areas, such as Flagstaff, AZ. Keep this ride on your bucket list; just select a good time of year and keep an eye on the weather.JoSounds just like the boonies of Taney & Douglas co. Mo. But Texas has more hogs 🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖
I've been everywhere, man.. been to Death Valley, Maine, Key west, tucumcari and Joan of Arc. Wrote a song about it.. If I had to choose I'd take the Maine trip by far.
GuzzistajohnI've stayed here 10 out of the last 12 years , their camping cabins have 2 bunk beds and your own front yard + burn pit . Bring your mini water hose and you can wash your bike at your cabin. : https://www.kerrvilletx.gov/1737/Mini-CabinsBeen out to see the "Sisters" every trip . They're a friendly trio ! On the second trip try the Dirty Sister (cut through the middle). Its a dirt road so bring your cleaning rag. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g56025-d610841-Reviews-Stonehenge_II-Ingram_Texas.htmlBe sure to visit the Bent Rim Grill , Luckenbach , Stone Hinge 2 and Kendalia General Store (the ride to get there is half the fun) That's my bike on the far left in the first picture. .
Plan on taking the T3 camping up to Labrador.Really nice being in such a secluded landscape. I fell 200 miles short last fall.I need to figure out how to carry extra fuel.
Im really hoping to get the bike out to our place on Cape Cod. I tried last year, but something always came up. I really need a better seat first, and all my fun money is going to get a old car up and running, so who knows.
I spend my time thinking about getting the bikes off the Cape. Sand, tourists, very old drivers. I’m hoping to get up to Vermont as much as possible.
