2017 vs 2019 V7 Stone Values

Hi all, looking at buying my first used V7 Stone and the final 2 candidates are a 2017 (4000 miles) and a 2019 (2800 miles). Both bikes are in great condition, with the 2019 being a 5 hour drive away. My question: are there any differences between the 2 years I am missing (I cant find any difference in specs) ? Will the 2017 lose value faster just because of the year, or should it just be mileage and condition that matter most? They are both roughly asking the same price

You sure that 2019 is definitely a 2019? Is it a Stone Night Pack, or a standard Stone? I ask because https://www.parts-motoguzzi.com/moto-guzzi-motorcycles/750-MOTO-GUZZI-MOTORCYCLES/V7/2019 doesn’t show a normal 2019 Stone for North America. I don’t guarantee that website is 100% accurate, but it’s been my go-to as of late.  So maybe it’s a 2018, in which case the engine is the exact same as a 2017. If it’s indeed a 2019, and it happens to be a Stone Night Pack, they have some engine differences (different crank that may or may not be interchangeable.

All that said, I haven’t heard of any pointed thoughts regarding an earlier III vs a later one. They’re the first of the hemi heads, and lasted four years (with varying dressage and some internal updates) before Euro emissions forced an update, so that says something!

In ten years my 02 Stone lost about $5k in value but has held rock steady for the last 12.

I've got a local Harley dealer chain who opened a dedicated all brand used bike outlet.

They've had a 2019 V7III Stone for at least 6-8 months. They're currently still asking MORE than I paid for my V7III new (a Carbon Dark that had a ~3k higher MSRP).

The 2019 has better shocks.  For the same price I'd pick the 2019, unless you love the color of the '17 much more.  Get the VIN for both, call your insurance company and ask what the total loss value for each would be.  Definitely wouldn't pay more than that for them.
