It would have to be a “poverty pack “ ohlins or cheap copy if it did, even twin shock ohlins had helm joints 45 years ago (i still have them)
Funny story there.
I was drowsing in bed prior to nodding off and searched aftermarket shocks for a V85. I saw a few and got to the Ohlins option, in my dazed stupor and perving on the picture, I saw $996 (or thereabouts).
So I pushed the “yes” button… :rolleyes:
Morning after came and I revisited my purchase, further investigation showed it was USD 996, so about AUD 1600 or something like..
THEN…
There was the small matter of $300 duty to get it here because it was a purchase over $1000.
THEN…
You have to fill in a lot of intricate forms on line which is beyond me, so I paid a guy in Sydney $60 to do it for me.
So, a shade under $2,000 for this


I’ll end up in poverty if I do this too many times…! :rolleyes:

Where is the evidence that this is a multi bike problem?

several bikes have done the same thing...it seems hardly endemic though

From one report that was just there is now an official recall over this...at least in Europe.
If I was an owner I would  not hesitate
