Yeah....that's probably all the marketing you'll see.  It's not
a for profit venture.  The sponsors will be lucky to cover expenses.

Coming from Seattle area, what is the best most MC friendly route to John day as there are 3 according to Waze and Goggle maps?

Mike looking forward to seeing you down there.

Hi Lance, riding down with some others and planning to camp there.  What rooms were left were very expensive...

   Is Fred still riding or?

That same Norge will be making the trip again to John Day...8 years after the last trip.

Huzo...you really should come on your Red Norge to John Day...it would be an epic trip for you!

Last time, 3 of us on Norges left John Day...one Silver (mine), one Red (Chris Two Wings) and one White (Sam Baker) and we had a GREAT ride thru Oregon, Washington, Idaho to Montana where we then took different paths home.  That was a great trip!

Hey, friends. I've been mostly absent, here, for many years, but I am among the knuckleheads putting on this rally. Looking forward to seeing many longtime friends.

John Day is, IMO, a magical place, with great riding and really nice ranch-country scenery. Grant County Fairgrounds is perfect for the rally, and the city very accommodating. Tent camping and some RV spaces on-site. Motels are booking fast, because of us, plus a big little league tournament and a golf tournament. Get 'em while you can.

We'll have all the usual diversions (bike show, field games, awards, etc.), plus a few curated rides (oe road, and one for the more adventurous), a beer/wine tent by a local microbrew outfit, a fire pit, a movie, and some presenters we hope you'll find interesting (Dave Richardson, Nolan Woodbury, Bill Ross, Jay from DMC Sidecars, and a few others were still working on).

I love to cook and am vain enough to think I'm pretty good at it, so that was hard to give up, but the group bdecided to in the interest of making the event less tiring for all our volunteers. We're having Juniper Smokehouse, in Burns cater suppers Friday and Saturday. Menu still TBD, but will likely be pulled pork and fixings Friday and tri-tip and BBQ chicken Saturday. Saturday breakfast by the local volunteer firefighters. We'll likely have some pastries, bagels, fruit and yogurt for the send-off Sunday.

I'm hoping we'll see many of you there....

It'll be great to see you again Greg!  I'll be bringing along a good friend that's new to Guzzis - he just bought a sweet '98 Cali EV.  He's never been west of the Mississippi!  Boy is he in for a treat!

This looks like a great opportunity to bring my Guzzi up to Oregon for some epic riding!  For those who rely on hotels/motels, you may want to make those reservations in the near future.  My searches for those type of accommodations identified that some are already sold out and others have a limited availability for these dates.

The 2024 Broken Arrow Rendezvous will be the 3rd weekend in July 19-21 2024. Not rally fees, just pay for camping or a cabin. A great Mexican Restaurant on site.

This is probably a good time of the year to do an inventory of your camping gear if you don't have a room reservation.   :thumb:  It would also be a good time to check the condition of your gear.   :boozing:

Nice, I'm only 250 miles away.
So it's just a weekend hangout and camping? What's the expected turnout?

No real way to tell until there are some numbers for pre-registrations.  Past Nationals had about 400+-.  Most people E of the Mississippi or E of the Appalachias won't make it.

I know quite a few people east of both that are planning to go. Two of my friends are coming with me - one on the '71 Ambassador I built back in '08 and another on his '73 Eldo I rebuilt for him 13 years ago.

Not many people like doing the long touring trip.  We'll see.  Usually these have been a large regional rally.  Still a fun way to meet Moto Guzzi people from all over.   :boozing:

and here I thought the Guzzi was a long-legged touring bike built to cover vast distances. I'll be there on some motorcycle for sure. I just tested my camping gear at Daytona and all is good. I'm just marking off days on the calendar
