Chuck that's such a cool bike.
What I also like about this picture is the Guzzi sign in your garage.

Ah, my Sweetie bought it for me from a dealer that was going out of business in the 90s.

Chuck, you offered me an opportunity to take it out at Cedar Vale but I declined because I didn't even want to take a chance of messing it up (using nice words) but I also regret not doing it.

There are not a lot of the early 4V's left, for a very good reason. Chuck saved this one, for a very good reason. A blast to ride, just stay away from the yellow & red area.

And because of this bike and this forum I got the motor to add to my broken bits and blueprint one.
Fantastic thing when sorted, 9k rpm safely all day long, I love it

But there are plenty of Lario chassis complete lying around with blown or badly repaired 8v motors and with the advent of the V7/3 and then V7/850 there are now plenty of small block hemi head motors .
Creating an aerolario rep is quite doable now
Just sell me the old 8v motor please

And I appreciate the offer Chuck! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Yeah, a bugger about logistics.  It would be interesting to see how it compares with the Breva. Obviously, it would rev far freer, although the Breva will happily shoot up to the limiter if one allows oneself to be distracted by the intake roar and the La Francinis beginning to crackle and......

A couple of FrankenGuzzis at the big shovel during the Ohio rally..

For some reason, John Prine's "Paradise" was stuck in my head the rest of the afternoon.

I get that every time I'm near that big mining equipment. Not a bad thing, just makes me sad. I am after all a sentimentalist. The reclamation around some of the mining operations has certainly been interesting.

That’s some song. Some bike too! It seems like yesterday we were all egging you on to build it.

It seems like yesterday
No kidding, Moto.. I was looking at my maintenance logs to see if the Lario was due for anything before the Ohio rally, and when I saw 12 years, I could hardly believe it.
(I'd done a complete service this February and forgotten)
Leading Austin back into the campground after showing him some twisty bits including the triple nickle. I told him it was a successful mission. We didn't hold up any cars  and neither one of us was leaking..

V65 4valves are so sweet. . . even totally stock. . begging the question; What is the weight difference - if there is one?  The formula is there - the weight, geometry, dimensions and ergonomics are, in my view, the reason we enjoy them, or any other bike, w/like certain dimensions.

I've had four 4valve V65's- beginning with MS Holbrook Pearson's rehabbed bike; still have one, unmolested, with very low miles.

Say you can't find a V65 4valve? Need am alternate? "If you must arrive on time, with clean hands & clothing, buy an SV650S Suzuki - any year, any number of miles. Break for a leisurely lunch? You'll still be on time.

             Good fortune,  R3~
