Any ‘03 Single Plate Clutches Still Working?
« on: September 14, 2023, 05:51:13 PM »
Just curious.
Been without a Goose now since I mostly rebuilt and sold a Cali Stone a year and a half ago.  Thinking about diving back into pool and been looking at an ‘03 EV that supposedly has the recall but likely the single plate clutch at 9k miles - if you believe the wonky odo.  The very first Guzzi I ever owned back in ‘04 was a Stone Touring with only 1400 miles on it.  Three weeks after I bought it the single clutch disintegrated so I’m very attuned to this issue .  I vaguely, vaguely recall in the many clutch threads here that MAYBE if the single plate made it through X many miles it is likely good?  Could be dreaming, I suppose.

As someone whose twin plate '04 Cali disintegrated, I would say to get a twin plate Without the deep cut-outs in the plates.
Good luck :thumb:
