New V85 Picked up!
« on: October 01, 2023, 06:51:00 PM »
I know I gush about Enzo and Cadre Cycle out of Cincy but gosh darn it he is the best dealer I’ve found. I am also proud to call him my friend.

We met Saturday at "Blue Ridge Cafe" in Highland IL., about halfway for both of us. And yeah they have “Mile High” meringue pies and great homemade food. NOTE: They only take cash!

Anyway, we ate, laughed and I traded my Beemer in. All of it was just a joy.  :bike-037:

Rode the V this morning before church and I am smitten!
Everything just works well on it for me, ymmv.

I really believe this is a keeper!  :thumb:

That's terrific.  It is nice to read affirmative stories, and there are many about Enzo and Cadre.
I hope you have many happy miles!  I'm still rockin' on the EV that I bought from you.

The bike is a looker with that color scheme. Very nice indeed. I’m surprised that I don’t see more of these considering where I live. Twin Falls Idaho now has a Guzzi dealer so that might change.

Congratulations.  Terrific machine and color.  You will have many enjoyable miles.  Such a jack-of-all-trades bike.  It may be the most well rounded bike on the market today.  Certainly the only one of the Adventure types that is good looking and has character.

Hey inditx,

Congrats, I like the v85's too!  I've been looking at these for a while, just have to get off my wallet and do it.  At the KY rally last month I think there were more v85's than anything else.  Also, I've had a couple small productive/positive dealings with Enzo/Cadre, they'll most probably be my go to when I finally decide to get a v85...hopefully the v85 will still be in production then.

Almost a patriotic theme going there.  A few glow in the dark star stickers on the blue and bam!  Captain America V85TT Italian Style!

Congrats.  Been waiting for 3 months now to get my V85TT back.  They say the parts are in the states stuck in a shipping container.

Having that space in the garage is making me look at bikes again.

Saw one of those at the dealership yesterday. Man does it pop. Stood out from everything else on the floor. Pictures don't do it justice.

I love that Color Scheme, but wish there was more Blue on the tank.... I'm toying with selling my big blocks (Griso/1200 Sport), returning the Stornello to Street Mode, and picking up a V85 before they go the way of the dodo.

Until then the Stornello TT will take the all road mission in hand. It is great bike, but lacks for top end power.

I know what ya mean by more blue on the tank.

Thanks. It came together over a couple years and is very well sorted and capable. Those pics were from a 1000 mile weekend ride, to the NY Rally. Almost all super slab or state highway, but where the little song bird sings best is on the back and state roads where speeds are under 60. I bought the Stornello as a base to make it a V85 alternative and it has not dissapointed. I LOVE the character of the Heron Head, and the spunky Stornello tune. As a V7ii, it benefits from the 6 speed trans and TC/ABS. I have made a ton of modifications and add ons to include the MGMP module. I grabbed the Yellow tank for $150, and a used set of side cover backing plates to paint to match. All the Stornello parts are safely stored.

The V85 has really grown on me, and with 6-7 and counting long time Guzzi owners/buddies riding them and singing its praises is hard to resist. I can definitely see one in the stable, but I have to do some purging before, and retirement is first on the list. We will see where things are at in a year or so once I am semi settled.

I really don't want to go down the road or back to a water cooled bike and the V85 is such a well rounded capable all purpose bike it is hard to resist. I love the color scheme of your bike the most, but we will see what the offerings are when and if I am ready to move.

Every time this thread pops up to the top of the page I think that somebody has dropped their new V85 on is side and picked it up

I'm so glad that's not the case
