Orphans and Adoptees
« on: October 09, 2023, 08:34:44 PM »
This is my garage of rescued vehicles in the last few years. Other than the 1200 Sport, all these sat unused for 10+ years or more until I got them and refreshed. The MC's are 100% ready to go. The car is a recent acquisition. Got it on a steal from a 90 year old man, original owner, 40K miles, and not driven in 13 years. Cosmetically is virtually new, mechanically, it needs a full going over...... I LOVE rescuing and restoring and giving new life to classic, unique, and otherwise unwanted and UNpopular vehicles and giving them a second life............... . Can't wait untill I am retired and can enjoy these machines on MY schedule........... .. I also can't wait for a decent garage..........

Car is a 1989 944S2, Motorcycles close to far: 2008 1200 Sport, 2004 Breva 750. 1976 Convert. The MC's are all 100% ready to go, the 944 is cosmetically pristine but needs: All new fuel lines, fuel pump, timing and balance belts,  timing chain guides, water pump, cooling system lines, vacuum lines, shocks, struts, brakes just to start. Not sure I will keep it, but I got it for a song, and if I don't like it will sell and quintuple my investment. I am hoping I like it..........

On a more GUZZI note, I took the baby Breva for a 2 hour ride today. It is a SWEET little bike! I definitely need to swap out the handlebars, the grips are SO CLOSE together, I feel cramped, and my chest muscles almost cramp. Other than that, this is a keeper!  NOT a powerhouse, but light, fun, filled with character. It is in close running with the Mello Yello Stornello TT to being my long term bike for when I am old and crippled...... The Convert will get a sidecar when I have the garage space, and as such will likely be my last rideable motorcycle..... Who needs a V100? NOT this guy  :boozing:
