seen on the streets of Rome
« on: December 20, 2023, 05:32:42 PM »
I've heard it said more than once...you 'never see' Guzzi's randomly in Italy. Well Absolutes are ALWAYS wrong  :boozing: but never the less, seems there is something to it.

My buddy saw this on the streets of Rome and felt the need to share. Hard to imagine running a 350 CC Cruiser...Anyone here ever had the pleasure?

by the rust on the brake discs, it looks like it has not been ridden in a while. Cool looking little cruiser! :thumb:

I only wish there was a Ducati Indiana to go with it, then you’d have the ugliest pair possible…

Guzzi Florida
Ducati Indiana

I would love to review the minutes from the marketing meetings where these conclusions seemed like good ideas.

I'd ride my T3 to work on a rainy AM and the disks would be completely rust covered by 5 PM closing. Several stops and they were clean again. That cast iron rusts instantly.

I'll agree the rusty rotors may not necessarily speak to immobility, the debris under the centerstand sure does. Street sweepers been gingerly passing this steed for some time now.

Had to blow up the pix.  You're right.   :thumb:  The valve cover looks like it could use a blast of WD40 and a wire brush.

Handles fantastic TBH (I have a Griso 8V & a V50 mk3) although rear shocks are at firm end of comfort....because rear wheel is big (relatively) & seat puts weight low down, it just rolls in & out corners like a dream. Also suits a screen which means less pressure/flies/rain on head/shoulders. I kept linked brakes (same on V50) which means long forks don't dip too much on braking.  V35 has thinner forks but mostly same I think...

Rusty brakes shows how (un) popular they were - that it's been sitting for some time on the street in Rome, apparently unlocked and not been stolen...

I’d like to see that motor in a small lightweight off roader, in the same vein as this.

Just smaller and lighter.
