The only honest answer to that question is "It all depends on who is watching!"

Any other answer anybody gives you is a bold faced lie!

The only things I look at on a motorcycle are those I  see when I’m riding down the road, what anybody else thinks about my bike doesn’t pay for my gas or anything else.

Well said.  I totally agree.

Best looking bike in my humble opinion. Built for purpose, beautiful but brutal in the same breath!

To me, part of the beauty of a bike is being able to see the engine.  Air-cooled v-twins don't have the radiator and all the plumbing of a water-cooled engine, so they look less cluttered.  Hard to be entirely subjective, but I think a Sport 1100 that I used to have would make this list.  It doesn't have the awful brake light and turn signals of the earlier LeMans series, and that big air-cooled v-twin is out there for all to see:

However, that being said, from a pure styling perspective, another bike that I used to have should certainly be on this list, an MV Agusta F4 750:

My concepts of beautiful looking motorcycles are primarily influenced by what was current and what I considered "someday attainable" as I was "coming of age (1967?-1987?)."

Second vote for the V7 sport.

You and Swanson are on to something, cause a V7 Sport just looks exactly what a motorcycle is supposed to look like.

The 916 was some stunning packedge for sure!  Really though, when that 900SS resurfed it just blew me away!!  So simple, so open. Faring just draped over enough. I still think its a stunning bike!!

Dare I say that I never really liked the 916? In fact, I prefer the 999 over the 916, although I can live very happy without either.

Ducatis are beautiful motorcycles for sure. They don't really light a fire in my gut though. I have never ridden one, maybe I should give on a try then again maybe I shouldn't.

Another for the MV Augusta F4

..... which is ironic as I'm not interested in sports bikes generally, but would be worth the discussion with domestic management over which wall I was going to hang it on

That certainly is a sexy machine!  PFM brakes.  Not to mention the front fork and wheels!  Yeow!  That's a 1990s Italian dream machine, right there!
