New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
The 2022 V85tt Travel version came with the TPMS. I don’t know if it was included with the 2023 models.
Interesting. Wish I had know that when I got the tires changed. Would like to add TPMS for touring.
FWIW......https://www.walmart.com/ip/Motorcycle-TPMS-Solar-Power-Tire-Pressure-Monitor-Real-Time-Tire-Pressure-Monitoring-System-Temperature-Sensor/5309621136However, I'm kinda skeptical about the accuracy & reliability.Art
I will say that I do like having the OEM TPMS on the V85TT, but the way MG decided to alert the rider when there's a tire problem could have been done a lot better. By the time I finally noticed the screen, the tire pressure was down to 15 PSI, I have no idea how long the screen was indicating a tire problem, as nothing on the dash was flashing to get your attention, unlike that stupid cruise control light does to warn you that the world is about to end because the cruise control is turned on but not engaged. MG logic???
I don't know if a warning pops up on the dash when the pressure gets low. I haven't experienced low pressure since installed. At start up you have to shuttle thru screens to see it.
You could manually lower the pressure to test it and get back with us on the results.
From the on-line manual: Alert SystemThe TPMS module provides alerts for the following conditions:• Low Pressure Warning: When tire pressure drops below configured threshold• High Pressure Warning: When tire pressure exceeds safe operating range• High Temperature Warning: When tire temperature exceeds safe limits• Sensor Communication Lost: When contact with a wheel sensor is lost• System Malfunction: When the module detects an internal errorSounds like it appears on the dash panel. There is also a phone app. that allows you to monitor the batteries, calibrate pressure and record readings history.I sent an email asking about warnings on dash.
Cool. I went ahead and ordered one at the discount price.
