New Stelvio accessories

I’m looking for a little more wind protection on my new Stelvio.  Any windshield recommendations would be appreciated.  Also looking for tail luggage that holds about 50L.  I had a top case on my V85tt but rarely needed it so I figure a piece of luggage/roll bag would make more sense.

I just assembled and installed the factory panniers on my Stelvio. I had been holding off in hope someone would come out with top load aluminum ones but got tired of waiting. While I prefer top load overall, the factory side load do have some advantages. No mounts are needed as they're already built into the bike. The bags retailed for $850, less a little discount from my dealer I bought the bike from, so the price isn't bad. They mount very solidly and total width on the bike is a reasonable 37-38".
 Locks that were keyed to the bike came with my bike so I didn't have to use the ones which came with the bags. BTW thankfully the locks are separate from the latches and the locks don't hold the key captive when unlocked like some do.
IMO the Stelvio looks just as nice (maybe even nicer) with the factory panniers on as they integrate well and they balance out the heavy front / light rear look. FWIW Kissell in central PA has one more set in stock.

I did order the Guzzi side cases with the bike.  My V85tt had all three cases but I’m not putting a top case on the Stelvio.   I’m gonna look for a large capacity roll bag for when I need to pack for trips.  I’ll just lay it across the rack or passenger seat.  I bought a BMW from Kissell a few years back.  Great dealership.  I grew up with Craig Kissell.

I never use a trunk either, I use an old Ortlieb wide roll-up Drybag across the back of my bikes when traveling. I was just looking at it on a camp ride this weekend and I'm going to need to replace it soon because it's pretty worn in places. Has never leaked a drop though.
 Yeah Craig is a nice man and did a good job with the dealership. I think Josh has even taken it a step further.

I had a great experience with Josh at Kissell's as well with my Stelvio.  As for the top box, I covered the rear passenger seat with plastic then layed up carbon fiber over itt to make a shell.  I then removed the seat cover and foam and used the existing base for my new shell.  It is big enough for tools, air pump, primaloft jacket, and my Dirt Napper for recovery.  What is nice, is that it locks and is only an inch abover the grab rails, so you never hit it when you swing your foot over getting on/off the bike.  The bags I went with the SW Motech Blazer simi soft bags.
