You can take the four rubber bumpers off the bottom of the drivers seat for an extra 3/8" or so.I'velowered mine an inch and find I just need to watch where I park it. If it's not level, turn it so the kickstand faces the down slope.
Smartest thing to do is go to Shock Factory. They can make a shorter one that will lower your seat 1" and it is a superior shock built for your weight. I got mine through Winding Roads. Martin is who I dealt with.
I raised the forks and threw in the Ohlins, that lowered the V85 by 30 mm.Here is the difference.[...]Same shock as yours I think[...]
